Recently, my ancestral home, China, was rocked by a 7.8 earthquake in the Sichuan province. Once, I remembered Sichuan for its delicious spicy foods. Now, I shall remember it as a place where families were faced with tragedies beyond their own comprehension.
This particular story strikes me right through the core. Despite best efforts, it is to be expected that there will be casualties among them. Imagine their desperation and distress underground.
