Whenever something like this happens in my neighborhood, I get goosebumps. We have had gunfights and stakeouts in these parts time and time again, and someone always gets either hurt or killed. Good thing that none of the victims in this incident got seriously injured.
The bad thing was that the assailant was charged with sexual abuse against one of the victim prior to the shooting. He just made it worse for himself now.
It seems that the son of former cop, senator, 2-time mayor of Manila, and reputed crime-buster, Alfredo S. Lim, is himself a criminal who deals with what his father had been fighting against for years. He and his 2 cohorts had been busted for drug possession and trafficking when they were caught with PhP600,000 worth of metamphetamines, locally known here as Shabu, right here around my neighborhood of Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Armed men gatecrashed a birthday party in La Loma, Quezon City, held up the guests at gunpoint, got the adoptive father of the birthday celebrant to tie up and gag everyone, robbed them of their valuables, took him to the second floor, shot him, then quickly left the area. One of them even sang at the karaoke machine to stave off suspicions.
The guy who got shot was DOA when he was rushed to the hospital.
Now that shit is just nasty.
