Summer

It’s hot enough, so I’ll make it brief.

I’m documenting my summer vacation on video so that I motivate myself enough to move my ass.

While I may end up not gaining as much progress as I visualize, I do hope that I come out of it as an improved version of myself.

That’s all.

Weather in Manila Compared to Arizona

Currently, it’s pretty toasty here in Manila, Philippines as we are entering the summer season. We’re having temperatures going upwards to 90 degrees, but it feels like 100 due to 95% humidity. It is a tropical country, after all. The weather is as sunny as ever, although with some rain once in a while. It is hot and sticky in these parts right now.

In Arizona, the highest you’ll ever get right now is around 80 degrees, which is perfect if you’re thinking of buying one of the many Arizona homes that are becoming available to potential homeowners out there.

With the current economic landscape of America, foreclosures are right there for those who actually have the money right now. If you do go for it, then there is no need to fret at all. If you don’t mind a bit of sun, then Arizona is a great place to live in.

At least it’s not as hot as Manila.

Boy Killed Through His Ass

This is just too much.

Almost everyone at work who saw this either spent the rest of their time standing up, kneeling on the floor, or grabbing a different chair since most office chairs have that gas mechanism.

You’ll never spend time in your cubicle the same way again.

But then again, that chair was made in China anyway, so perhaps that’s the problem.

Nothing against China, but some of their businesses are shit. I’m Chinese myself, so I do know about it.

Blog Review: Of Dawns & Dusks

Rahul’s Blogs is mostly about stuff in the Internet that interests the author. From technology, movies, to even social and political topics, this blog summarizes what the blogger thinks about them. Vague for most people like the title itself, but it’s definitely not bad at all.

It is an interesting blog for those who just likes to read about different stuff without any particular aim. These types of blogs are for expressing one’s main interests in life, which really is what blogs are for in the first place. It doesn’t take much other than consistency, and this blog does that.

A lot of bloggers would go on to criticize such blogs and unoriginal and vague, but there is just as much excess baggage that can be thrown at these people. The essence of these blogs is the opportunity to share and personally grow as it progresses. Whether people like it or not, the blogger should flow with it.

I have respect for these types of blogs. Rahul’s Blogs are worth the browsing time and perhaps even subscription if it suits the readers’ taste.

12 Don’ts in Foreign Lands

[source]

We’ve all heard of tourists getting thrown in jail or caned in a foreign land one time or another in the news.

For those who plan to travel to another country, but don’t want to spend most of vacation time behind bars or nursing injuries, the above link will take you to a guide that will tell you what not to do in various nations.

Something I would like to add to that list: Carrying a huge backpack along the streets of Manila, Philippines.

Girl Poet Takes on Taliban

It is said that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Well, while military solutions will always be the equalizer, the power of words is great nonetheless.

This girl took one step forward towards liberty by using her words to tell of her people’s plight and to remind us about the power of the human spirit.

She has my utmost respect.
